This is the response from my daughters school principal. I received this one week ago after I found out for a second year in a row my daughter is using a male name and pronouns at school. I am at a point we parents need to amend these laws that allow these strangers to keep secrets from us. They hide behind laws.

Thank you for your email. As to your inquiry regarding the records

request, it has been received and sent to Deborah, Executive

Assistant to the Superintendent, at the District office for processing.

Based on the reason for your meeting request: " This meeting would be

for us to discuss what the school staff is doing with my daughter who is

a minor, her nonbirth name and using male gender pronouns. "

In California, Assembly Bill (“AB”) 1266, also known as the

“School Success and Opportunity Act,” was introduced by Assemblyman

Tom Ammiano on February 22, 2013 and requires that pupils be permitted

to participate in sex-segregated school programs, activities, and use

facilities consistent with their gender identity, without respect to the

gender listed in a pupil’s records. AB 1266 was approved by Governor

Brown on August 12, 2013.

AB 1266 is codified at Education Code section 221.5(f), which provides:

A pupil shall be permitted to participate in sex-segregated school

programs and activities, including athletic teams and competitions, and

use facilities consistent with his or her gender identity, irrespective

of the gender listed on the pupil’s records.

Education Code section 220 also provides:

No person shall be subjected to discrimination on the basis of

disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, nationality,

race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or any other

characteristic that is contained in the definition of hate crimes set

forth in Section 422.55 of the Penal Code, including immigration status,

in any program or activity conducted by an educational institution that

receives, or benefits from, state financial assistance, or enrolls

pupils who receive state student financial aid. [Emphasis added].

At the federal level, there is an Executive Order that was issued on

January 20, 2021, by President Biden that clarifies students have

protection from discrimination on the basis of gender identity and/or

sexual orientation under Title IX.[2] [1]

Sharing a Student’s Transgender Identity with the Student’s Parents,

Other Students, and the Public

CDE has advised:

A gender nonconforming student may not express their gender identity

openly in all contexts, including at home. Revealing a student’s

gender identity or expression to others may compromise the student’s

safety. Thus, preserving a student’s privacy is of the utmost

importance. The right of transgender students to keep their transgender

status private is grounded in California’s antidiscrimination laws as

well as federal and state laws. Disclosing that a student is

transgender without the student’s permission may violate

California’s antidiscrimination law by increasing the student’s

vulnerability to harassment and may violate the student’s right to

privacy. School personnel are not legally permitted to discuss any

student's gender identity with anyone including teachers, counselors,

parents, etc..." The student is the only one who can discuss his or her

gender identity with those he or she chooses.

Based on these laws, I am not able to accommodate your request to meet

to discuss " what the school staff is doing with my daughter who is a

minor, her nonbirth name and using male gender pronouns. "

I would like you to have all of the links to the law the school is

required to follow which you can find below:

Please see this link of FAQs about AB1266 [2]. It is from the

California Department of Education (CDE). Please see answers from #6-8.

I have also attached the law. Please click here for the law. [3]

* Page 3 highlights "privacy rights"

Thank you for your understanding of the restrictions placed on our

school as it relates to this specific line of inquiry.

Sincerely,

Juliet

Fantastic letter. I just want to add in response to some comments here, that voting Democrat for many of us who are adamantly opposed to the trans cult, is in no way supporting this horrible mess. Voting Democrat is about basic survival, to have health care, social security, fair voting for all, keeping girls and women's rights, including legal and safe abortions, etc. The republicans (who I consider primarily nazis, based on their support of carrying swastika and confederate flags, chanting anti-Semitism, and killing courageous working class women like Heather Heyer) are even denying ten year old rape victims abortions. They also want to destroy the environment for a few corporations to profit.

The republicans also promote the trans cult, but that is ignored, even when right wing trans Bruce Jenner ran for governor. Though it was quickly shut down in our local media, I won't forget the two nazi rallies in Berkeley led by a man in a dress claiming to be a woman.

I also want to ask all who are fighting this horrible cult, to not add L or Lesbians to "GBTQI" etc. We have been fighting this travesty longer than anyone else I know, getting rape, mutilation, and death threats. Just for saying no to one of these white men, an interracial couple and their son were murdered (beaten, stabbed, shot) in Oakland, California. Of course he is in a women's prison, trying to evade conviction and terrorizing women there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbS3V81lEjo&feature=share

These heterosexual men have taken over everything possible that Lesbian Feminists and other women have created over 50 years.

https://genderispoison.wordpress.com/2018/04/27/san-francisco-public-library-hosts-transgender-art-exhibit-featuring-weapons-intended-to-kill-feminists/

We never agreed to be added with our worst oppressors, heterosexual men in drag who are demanding sexual access to us. I'm guessing most B and G also do not want to be associated with "T."

Let's work together to stop this horror...

This compelling letter needs to be published and read widely. It's overdue for lawsuits to take down a monstrous ideology that harms children, young adults, and shatters families. It's time for politicians, school administrators, teachers,, medical and mental health professionals to prioritize material reality. If people collectively demanded this gender nonsense be shut down, my confused college age son would no longer revere Planned Parenthood as his HRT drug dealer. Planned Parenthood needs a class action law suit to end their despicable dispensing of wrong sex hormones to young people, often on the autism spectrum. How many people will Planned Parenthood be allowed to sterilize?! How long must suffering parents wait for the preying on their children and young adults to be recognized, and action taken to stop the shameful, bizarre "trans" train ?

So when a child crawls into the counselor's office on all fours and says she identifies as a cat, will he support her and get her a litter box? Not being funny because it is happening. Since when is it acceptable to support insanity? I get livid when teachers think they have the right to make decisions about someone else's child! Those people are way out of line and need to remember their place which is BEHIND parents. And they are doing this to inflate their own egos by thinking they're truly brave and quite special by "protecting" a child. What they're doing is truly damaging!!!

Here is what Ohio is trying to do - of course, the trans clinic in Cincinnati sent their minions - those older adults who they convinced they were transgender whilst minors, came to testify against protecting kids from gender ideology. RESOLUTION TO SUPPORT PARENTS, SCHOOLS, AND DISTRICTS IN REJECTING HARMFUL, COERCIVE, AND BURDENSOME GENDER IDENTITY POLICIES

The concept of education rests on the notion that there are things we can know. There are objective facts, even objective truths.

Biological sex is one such objective, scientific fact. A human male has an x and a y chromosome and a reproductive system ordered toward impregnation. A human female has two x chromosomes and a reproductive system ordered toward conceiving and bearing children.

Sex is not arbitrarily “assigned” at birth but rather identifies an unchangeable fact. There are observable, quantifiable, and immutable differences between males and females. The reality of biological sex can no more be altered than can the reality that two plus two equals four.

Denying the reality of biological sex destroys foundational truths upon which education rests and irreparably damages children.

Desiring to protect these foundations, to safeguard the wellbeing of children, and to support parents, schools and districts in doing the same, The State Board of Education (the "Board") hereby adopts the following Resolution:

WHEREAS Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 was enacted into law to ensure that "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance"; and

WHEREAS original and existing Title IX regulations acknowledge "physiological differences between the male and female sexes"; and

WHEREAS on June 23, 2022, the U.S. Department of Education released proposed changes to Title IX regulations that would contradict the plain language of the law; and

WHEREAS the proposed regulations would prohibit schools that receive federal funds, including public, charter, private, and parochial schools, from “adopting a policy or engaging in a practice that prevents a person from participating in an education program or activity consistent with their gender identity,” thereby compelling schools to deny biological reality; and

WHEREAS under the proposed rules, actions such as a student or staff member using a child’s legal name and biological pronouns rather than the child-selected preferred name and pronouns could be deemed a form of “sex-based harassment,” subjecting schools and staff to civil litigation and loss of federal funds; and

WHEREAS the proposed regulations would require that K-12 schools socially transition minor children to a different gender without requiring parental notification or involvement; and

WHEREAS Ohio law and the United State Constitution and legal precedent recognize the right of parents to direct the education, upbringing, and physical and mental health of their children; and

WHEREAS for many parents the nature of the human person created by God male and female is a deeply held religious belief; and

WHEREAS children are harmed when parents are barred from making decisions to protect their child’s physical, mental, and spiritual well-being; and

WHEREAS a high percentage of children who are permitted to socially transition will then pursue medical and surgical interventions which have irreversible, life-altering consequences for school age children, interrupt a child’s healthy growth and development, and come with significant risks, including loss of bone density, infertility, cognitive impairment, dangerous blood clots, cardiovascular disease, and cancer; and

WHEREAS under the proposed rules, schools would be required to grant access to sex-separate restroom and locker room facilities based on gender identity rather than on biological sex, which would place girls and women at increased risk for harassment and sexual assault by males who claim a female identity; and

WHEREAS the USDOE proposed regulations pertaining to athletics would require sports teams to be based on gender identity rather than biological sex, forcing women and girls to compete on an unfair basis against males for athletic opportunities and scholarships; and

WHEREAS in guidance issued May 5, 2022 and in a rule promulgated on June 14, 2022, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced that it will interpret the prohibition on sex discrimination found in Title IX and the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 to include discrimination based on gender identity; and

WHEREAS approximately 100,000 Ohio public schools, nonprofit private schools, and residential childcare institutions could now be forced to choose between adopting gender identity policies or foregoing federal funding to provide subsidized free or reduced-price meals to the more than 516,000 Ohio children who qualify; and

WHEREAS the Board acknowledges the pain experienced by those suffering with gender dysphoria; and

WHEREAS the appropriate course of action to pursue for students experiencing symptoms of gender dysphoria is treatment delivered by parent-selected mental health professionals; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the State Board of Education declares its unequivocal opposition to the proposed regulatory changes released by the U.S. Department of Education on June 23, 2022; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board supports the lawsuit filed by Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and 21 other state attorneys general seeking to invalidate the newly enacted Department of Agriculture rules that tie continued receipt of federal nutritional assistance and other funding subject to Title IX to the adoption of gender identity policies; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the State Board of Education directs the acting Superintendent of Public Instruction to issue, within fourteen calendar days of the passage of this resolution, a letter, subject to the approval of the president of the Board, to every Ohio school district and every Ohio school or institution receiving Federal funds indicating that the Ohio Department of Education:

opposes the proposed regulatory changes released by the U.S. Department of Education on June 23, 2022;

considers the applicable USDOE guidance documents as without legal force and effect and, therefore, non-binding and unenforceable at this time; and therefore,

urges districts not to amend local policies or procedures based on these guidance documents; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board calls upon the General Assembly to assist local districts in combatting this federal overreach by proactively approving stopgap funding of necessary programs should the proposed regulations take effect; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board calls upon the General Assembly to safeguard the rights of parents and the wellbeing of children by requiring that schools and districts disclose information to parents whenever their child claims a discordant gender identity, questions their gender identity, requests alternative names or pronouns, or otherwise indicates mental or emotional distress about their gender identity; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board calls upon the General Assembly to protect the rights and safety of women and girls by prohibiting schools and districts from allowing biological males on female sports teams or in female privacy facilities; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that with this action the State Board of Education stands resolutely with parents, schools, and districts in rejecting harmful, coercive, and burdensome gender identity policies, procedures, and regulations.

Thank you so much for writing this. I am a teacher, and my school has these policies too. The administration communicate them in staff meetings but, interestingly, won't put them on paper. Mine is a private school where only a handful of kids have started transing socially. I might be the only person in the community who has a kid who is transing medically, or even knows one. I believe the adults who work here think they are being heroes to LBGTQ kids by using the pronouns and keeping parents out of the loop, and those who don't believe that are protecting their jobs by going along. The administration believes it is following the rules set by the state and by the Biden administration by implementing these policies. PLEASE send your schools letters like these. So many teachers and administrators are clueless about what transing actually looks like once the hormones and surgeries start. They need to know, and they need to hear from parents that we won't put up with the secrecy and with the encouragement down this harmful path.
