the "study" "Gender Identity 5 Years After Social Transition" is used as propaganda to counter the 11 studies that found 65-95% of kids grow out of gender dysphoria with puberty, if unmedicated and, i believe, not socially transitioned.
but this " study" isnt proof of anything. for one, the kid participants werent old enough for puberty, hence not at a age where most desist. 2nd, many of the participants already were taking gender meds. its known once they take the meds theyre not as likely to desist in the short term. same goes for social transition. 3. the "study" didnt even ask if kids had gender dysphoria. that alone makes the study moot. ppl who believe gender transition is simply an arbitrary choice ignore the evidence of harmful long term effects. for example, amsterdam says those on the "care" have 50% reduced life expectancy. 4. this "study" has high participation bias. parents pushing their kid into gender transition know a crisis awaits when kids go through puberty. these abusers want the gov to pay for millions required to alter their child permanently, at a time when kids cant consent. many of kids involved no longer have any contact with their parents years after, knowing their parents narcissism has damaged them permanantly.
I have taught elementary for over 20 years, and have observed trends and fads come and go. When “restorative justice” came along, I started to worry. ROGD has put me into full panic mode. Teachers in my district are being informed that we do not have to share with parents that their child wishes to socially transition. We are told that if we do talk to parents, we are in violation of Title IX because we are “outing” the child. And we are constantly bombarded with the “safety” trope: We want school to be a safe space, we want kids to feel safe, blah blah blah.
Thank you for writing this. You’ve given me plenty to work with when I push back. Teachers and administrators have no right to socially transition kids without parent involvement, and are simply not trained or qualified to do so. I have one student in my class that has expressed discomfort with her gender, and I will bring it up at conference time.
Lots of sane parents are trying to get their children into the Catholic school system in Ontario. The top 50 academic results are also in the Catholic schools and its not because of any selection bias in students. Non catholic kids are welcome if they have extra room and they do not insist that non catholic kids participate in any religious events. I would not let my kid near today's public schools.

Thank you for this information. I’m thankful I’m not the only one in this difficult journey. My 12 year old daughter is allowed to use the men’s restroom and her school and is called a male name by her teachers and so called friends. I met with the Administration and her teachers and begged them not to allow this, but was told it was her right and they legally couldn’t stop her. I wonder what is my right as a Christian parent? It breaks my heart to know she is using a men’s restroom and I shutter to think what else that the school is allowing or encouraging that I have yet to learn. My daughter is old enough to make these choices as a 12 year old, but I had to sign permission before a peppermint would be given if she needed it for her throat.
I think parents have to get really angry and protest loudly! I tried talking to my ex daughter-in-law who would be thrilled if my grandchildren were to become transgender and said as much on FB. I tried talking with her about it, but she refuses to even discuss, full-stop! Parents and teachers who haven't fallen for transgender need to really make their voices heard and those that can need to home-school their kids or send them to Christian schools. I know of several parents who are doing these things; they're desperate! Sure, puberty is no picnic but it's even worse to remove or adding genitals and put developing bodies on unhealthy hormones and steroids for the rest of their lives. I'm thankful that we have teens and young adults detransitioning and telling their stories to the world.
I already wrote and sent my letter, and am acquainted with the school’s advisers on their trans regulation. I think showing them that there are alternative policies out there that still champion diversity and inclusion could be beneficial.

I thought gender roles were bad, children should be encouraged to dress, play and learn free of gender roles. Now I see that my liberalism and my children’s malleability could have been used to direct them down the path of rejecting their bodies. In previous generations, my MIL has revealed that as a child she insisted on wearing boys clothes and having a boy’s name; she went on to have a very happy 64 year marriage and children and is still going strong in her 80s. What state would she be in if she’d embarked on a lifetime of sterility and medical treatment? People who are gender critical or conservative are accused of being uncaring, but I do care about every child or young adult who is seduced by this terrible ideology.

Then ROGD happened to one of my kids--and I was immediately ashamed at my previous beliefs that *other* parents were "so intolerant," but lookee here, I was SO "VIRTUOUS" AND ACCEPTING of these kids.

The only people who truly believe in the myth of the horrible, dreadful, transphobic parents are either childless young teachers, or parents whose kids haven't yet fallen prey to this cult. Most people, if you ask them to think about this for more than 10 seconds, see things our way, and then they REALLY want to talk about everything they've been seeing and hearing for the past 6-7 years, but didn't know they were permitted to have any skepticism or to ask any questions.
