I would like to see this go to the Supreme Court and have the entire nation follow the details:

"California pushes to be sanctuary state for transgender children"

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/restoring-america/equality-not-elitism/california-pushes-sanctuary-state-transgender-children

"“I’ve been the lone voice in the wilderness crying out about this,” said Dr. Quentin Van Meter, the president of the American College of Pediatricians. “The system is the problem. It is a cult machine sucking these children in and putting them on a conveyor belt.”"

This is utterly alarming and must be stopped. Aside from the obvious horrors of children being castrated and young girls being given double mastectomies, this is also likely to lead to sexual abuse and sex trafficking due to custody being awarded to someone in a different state outside the family (it could be anyone). This will lead to complete and utter chaos.

Is there going to be any organized opposition? Do they have this?

"Puberty Blockers, Cross-Sex Hormones, and Youth Suicide"

https://www.heritage.org/gender/report/puberty-blockers-cross-sex-hormones-and-youth-suicide

" SUMMARY

Lowering legal barriers to make it easier for minors to undergo cross-sex medical interventions without parental consent does not reduce suicide rates—in fact, it likely leads to higher rates of suicide among young people in states that adopt these changes. States should instead adopt parental bills of rights that affirm the fact that parents have primary responsibility for their children’s education and health, and that require school officials and health professionals to receive permission from parents before administering health services, including medication and “gender-affirming” counseling, to children under 18. States should also tighten the criteria for receiving cross-sex treatments, including raising the minimum eligibility age."

Outrageous bill, and excellent analysis! Thank you for this information. I called (916) 319-3744., the Public Safety office number listed on the site, to register my objection, and also posted a comment on their portal: " Proposed California SB 107, the pediatric transgender medical sanctuary state bill, is a terrible bill with horrific unintended consequences should it pass. As the current state of Transgender medicine is experimental, at best, and often leads to permanent lifelong, irreversible complications such as sterilization, loss of sexual function, osteoporosis and other painful and expensive medical complications, it is unconscionable to allow children, who lack the cognitive and psychological ability to consent, to lead the way in deciding their own medical treatment. It is outrageous to allow unproven and untested medical experimentation on children from other states and to subvert parental rights in search of a trendy, fashionable and harmful permanent solution to a problem which is moral, spiritual and often situational and transient. The passage of this bill will lead to much harm and suffering, shielding enablers and dividing families at critical times in children's development and should not be passed."

Is there an angle here ‘to crunch the numbers’ and discover the financial impact on CA budget? Many people may not care about this issue but will listen if it impacts their tax burden or access to medical care in CA. Maybe at least a ‘back of the envelope’ calculation? Seems like this bill would also cripple the court system.

Thank you for the Herculean effort—I will stay tuned for call-in option for tomorrow.

Well, this is horrifying.

Right. So women have no control over their own bodies, and unborn babies are sacred, but a child's body is not, and he or she can choose to do whatever they want, including having themself sterilized.

Parallel extreme worlds. I want neither.
